Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk dairy or plant-based, your choice
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon fresh ginger grated or ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons honey or to taste
  • 1 pinch Black Pepper

Method

  1. Pour the milk into a small saucepan and place it over medium heat.
  2. Add turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon. Stir gently, letting the spices infuse their golden power into the milk.
  3. Bring it to a gentle simmer (not a rolling boil, please, unless you like scrubbing your stove later).
  4. Once the milk is fragrant and slightly thickened, remove it from the heat.
  5. Stir in the honey when the milk has cooled just a little — this keeps its nutrients intact.
  6. Pour into cups, breathe in the aroma, and sip slowly.
