Ingredients
  

  • 4 whole wheat pita pockets about 6” diameter
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika optional for extra depth
  • Fresh ground black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the Pitas: Slice each pita pocket into 8 triangles (like a pizza). If your pitas are double-layered, separate them for extra crispiness.
  3. Season: In a large bowl, toss the pita triangles with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Cook in Batches: Place a single layer of pita chips in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding. Cook for 6–8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even crispness.
  5. Cool & Serve: Let them cool slightly after cooking—they’ll continue to crisp up. Serve with your favorite healthy dip or enjoy as-is.
